Spring’s True Blue Trend: Denim
Believe it or not, Spring is just a couple of weeks away!
Many of us are already looking forward to a wardrobe with fewer coats, tights, wool socks and boots.
It is so energizing to look at the trends for next season to start getting excited and inspired! Whether or not you choose to follow them, it can still be a good mental exercise for staying on trend and up to date. It also may spark some fresh solutions for your wardrobe.
This Spring 2024, one such trend will be….
DENIM!
Easy, all-Americana, no-fuss-to-launder and easy-to-match denim.
You may love denim or, quite possibly, you may not BUT… I find it always comes down to a balance of contrasts: Denim can come across as both rugged and androgynous, so I thought we could go over a few ways to make it feel timeless, chic and feminine:
Pair your jeans with a silk ivory blouse. It’s a “French look” that’s polished yet relaxed. Easy for running around in to do errands, or swap your shoe and dress it up for dinner.
Go with white denim! It’s easy to feel a little hesitant about wearing white jeans, but LET me tell you! It might take a nudge, but when Club Members slip into a white jean they are shook with surprise at how much they love them! They feel dressier than a normal jean but still give that relaxed and approachable vibe.
Try a denim skirt! These are very on-trend and it’s easy to find one in a very appropriate, very comfortable length right now. It’s a fun option for the summer, especially if you don’t feel as comfortable wearing shorts.
Test out a wide-legged or flaired jean. These are insanely flattering on people, not to mention more comfy! Just be sure to go for one that is high waisted and do a little tuck so your figure doesn’t get lost.
Never underestimate the denim jacket. There’s something so Americana about it, that it will never lose its western, outdoors vibe. It’s an easy layering piece that you never have to worry about matching, because it goes with nearly everything.
Now let’s shop some of the fun denim below!!
Over the years I have written several articles on jeans and denim that I think will be helpful now while we’re on the topic:
