Fall Trend: Cherry Red
School is getting back in session and September starts NEXT week! After, getting through our 5th canicule (heatwave) here in France, this is a very, very welcome change.
Now, it’s easy at the end of August to just want I diiiiiiiive right into all things Fall (I am one of them!!). The thing is though, sometimes the temperature doesn’t agree with what we hope 😂
However, regardless of the temperature, there’s still a way to bring in the Fall fun atmosphere.
This year, we have a great color trend… CHERRY! Now at first, you might think bright red. However, that really isn’t the true color of a cherry. A true cherry color is that lucious burgundy… lighter than a merlot but has the slightest pop of brightness to it. It feels classic, chic and rich with a little bit of a personality.
As you may want to just wrap yourself in a big fluffy fleece or jacket, it just doesn’t quite work with the weather. BUT… there are ways to style your Summer pieces with notes of Fall and not sweat yourself through the day.
Here below are a few ways to incorporate Cherry Red to transition into Fall:
Toss a sweater over your shoulders of a white linen dress. When the weather gets chillier, you’re al set to wear it with jeans or a skirt.
Pair a silk scarf with a simple white button down and jeans.
If a scarf seams akward for you to wear around your neck, simply tie it to your purse!
Sunglasses are a fantastic way to incorporate cherry red. Keep your outfit neutral though, camels would look amazing!
Don’t forget about jewelry! Go towards what you naturally tend towards. In my experience, people tend towards 2 categories (do you find that bracelet people are note necklace people and necklace people are not bracelet people?)
Question: How will YOU incorporate this Fall’s “In” color?
