3 Fall Fundamentals
Fall is NEARLY around the corner! Believe it or not!
Now, just as we have to hold ourselves back (a bit) from buying all the Fall candles, dish towels, faux folliage, cute caricatures and pumpkin everything…. it can also trickle to our wardrobe!
With our wardrobe, we especially want to buy the RIGHT Fall pieces and not OVERbuy the WRONG pieces.
So to do that, let’s visit a few wardrobe fundamentals. These fundamentals are to take the stress out of an outfit not feeling great and also wasting money on your closet not working.
Contrast: Contrast is key in styling! If a piece feels too masculine, add some feminine details. If, for instance, you’re wearing denim, add something smoother, like a silk blouse or some pink tones to give it a softer feel.
Personal aesthetic: What are the key elements that feel very ‘you’? You know - that thing you put on and just relax and feel, “Ah, this is me.” It could be a cowgirl boot, headband, collarless jacket, or button-down blouse (to name a few). Know these key pieces you can always toss one on with a classic.
Keep your wardrobe to a minimum: The more you have, the harder it is to know what you really enjoy wearing. I promise you - I PROMISE you - that you will be more creative when you have less!!
Hope these tips launch you into a cozy and enjoyable Fall!
