Say Yes to the Dresses: You Can Plan a Go-To Wedding Look

The sun is shining and June is in bloom! Which also means… here comes the wedding season!

I’m sure you know the panic of having a wedding to go to and you realize just weeks before that… you don’t have anything to wear! The stress builds and builds until finally, you make a last-minute run to Macy’s or Nordstrom’s, only to settle for a dress that will (sigh) just “do,” because it has to match heels and jewelry that you already own.

And the worst part…

It. Wasn’t. Even. On. SALE.

Gahhhh!!! The heartache!!!

So… let’s not let that happen again!

When I work one-on-one with my clients, invariably our call is about to end and then I get those fateful words: “Oh yeah, I forgot... I have a wedding to attend.”

That’s how I end up shopping for dresses they can wear to weddings.

So wouldn’t it be great if you always had a couple dresses in your closet (one for spring/summer, one for fall/winter) that you knew you could wear? I’ve incorporated this in my styling services because I know… at some point in the future… you WILL have to get a dress for a wedding and we do NOT want another last-minute rush to Macy’s!

What’s a color I typically like to wear and feel good in? (This way your mood won’t make you shift and say ‘Yuck, I don’t want to wear that!’)
Which neckline and sleeve length always make you feel confident?
What type of shoes and jewelry do you have that need to match this dress?
How can I incorporate my personality in to a classic dress so that it feels “me,” yet can ebb and flow with the years.
What are three dresses I’ve seen recently that really made me say, “Wow! That’s beautiful!” Because this is the perfect inspiration for your dress.
