Fall Mass Style: Warm Up to Inspiration

As we head into November, we’re really getting all of the Autumn feels. Isn’t it just such a gorgeous time of the year?

The weather is definitely chilly and we’re feeling the shift in our wardrobe, too. It probably got pretty comfortable getting ready for Mass in the summer - just toss on a pretty dress, match it with a summer sandal and breeze out the door and done… Bah dah bing bah dah boom!

But with the cooler weather comes more layers, and the feeling that we really have to rework what we have.

In today’s post, I hope to inspire you with a few go-to Mass options for the new season. Perhaps you want torespond, “But Meghan, it’s Mass. Should we be worried about our clothes? Really?” To which I’d have to respond, but what if you want to put together the perfect outfit to attend your child’s wedding or (just sayin’) you’re meeting the Queen of England. Why, it’d be disrespectful to give no thought at all to how you present yourself!

So, with that said, let’s dive into some Fall Mass Inspo.

I recommend starting with one item in your closet to start building out your outfit. Rather than trying to put the whole puzzle together at once - just pick ONE piece. Here are my top five pieces that are inspiring me this Fall.

  1. Windowpane pant: Pair with a neutral sweater and shoe for a chic and classy look

  2. Midi Skirt: Try it in a unique fabric like suede, leather or velvet - combine it with a simple blouse, to let the texture and silhouette shine

  3. Statement blazer: Try a houndstooth, pin stripe or even plaid! It’s an investment piece, so don't skimp on the quality because you’re sure to have it for years and years

  4. Beret: When going for a bolder move like a beret keep it simple with a monochrome outfit that will deliver  no-fail style.

  5. Festive loafer: Try an Audrey Hepburn-style black pant and black long sleeve shirt, then bring ‘the jazz’ with some fun footwear (see my last post on how to shop for statement loafers).

Here are a few more inspirations I’ve “amassed” to get you set for Fall.
