This week I was on a video consultation with a MAS Style Club Member. She wanted to know what she should donate and what she should keep.

Now, this common question arises in most everyone I speak with, and I find that the majority of people just have a hard time carving out a chunk of time to attack this issue. And I get it - it can be a daunting task, knowing your clean bedroom might soon look like a construction zone!

What if something comes up? What if your kid needs you? What if you have to dash out of the house? What if you’re exhausted from it?

No one wants a messy bedroom with all of their clothes exploding all over the place!

If you’re reading this and saying, “ YES! That’s me, alright!”I have a solution for you. A solution to simplify your closet cleanout that will make more sense for the busy-ness of life.

AND…

You can do it THIS weekend!

The objective is: Pull out anything and everything that has a “stipulation” attached to it, and place it in a big bin to “hibernate.” That’s it! That’s really it! Imagine not having those items in your closet. Then imagine how quickly you can brush right over them.

To break it down a little more, your “stipulations” to certain pieces can include:

“This, I have to wear a camisole under because it’s too see-through”

“This, I can only wear with this pant”

“This, I have to wear with an undergarment I don’t like that’s uncomfortable”

“This, only fits if I’m at my lowest weight”

“This, only if I’m going to (insert type of place, that I literally never have a reason to go)”

“This, only if I’m not going to bend over or sit”

“This, but I have to wear an uncomfortable shoe”

“This, is if I was (insert years younger)”

So… I think we get the picture, right? The one disclaimer is that some pieces will have stipulations, however if they are WORTHwhile, then of course, do not remove the item from your closet. (For instance, if you have sleeveless dresses but never show your arms and enjoy wearing cardigans withthem - this would not count).

And of course, this is not the full extent of a proper closet cleanout - this is just one step closer to the finished goal!

Well, there you have it! I hope you have loads of fun and this helps make your closet cleanout SO EASY and QUICK!

Question: How often do YOU do a closet cleanout?
