Are you Cording me about Cords?!

“Gosh, I have so enjoyed this and feel like you have helped me sooo much. I feel like you have helped me get my confidence back at a time I really needed it. I also feel like a gained a really cool, fashionable fri - 2021-10-13T151747.604.png

It’s starting to feel a bit more like Fall and if you’re like me, you are really feeling the shift in your wardrobe (which should be ready for the fresh season after last weekend’s cleanout… right???).

It’s getting chilly and we’re all whipping out our jeans and pants!

But my question for you is… Do you ever get bored of wearing jeans or plain old pants? Do you ever wish you had another option to zest it up?

Well, I hope to fix that for you with a comfy, cute and perhaps nostalgic option… Cords!!! Not kidding at all, cords (aka corduroy) are the answer for your Fall fashion fix.

Cords add texture and rich color, can easily be dressed up or down, AND… they are COMFY! Now doesn’t that sound just too good to be true?

If cords remind you a bit too much of the 90s (or 70s) maybe it’s time to take a little revisit. Once you see what’s out there for current cuts, colors and fabric composition - I think you will be delightfully surprised!

Here are five ways that I like to style cords:

  1. Choose  cords in a rich, lush color. Think emerald, aubergine, bordeaux, navy or (of course) cream or black!

  2. Try a super casual outfit with a simple long- or short-sleeved cotton tee and sneakers. If you feel the Look needs a bit more you can always pop on a vest.

  3. Go dressy and jazzup a dinner date with a silky blouse and heeled ankle bootie.

  4. Why not be festive? Pair it with a fun holiday sweater and casual loafer.

  5. Chambray all day. Pair it with a denim chambray that will add extra texture. (Hint: add a necklace to this look to elevate its femininity).

So… I hope by now you’re anticipating a little shopping! Here below are a few inspired suggestions for you to check out!
