New Series: Old Hollywood Glamour: Neck Scarves

It’s easy to be discouraged going in to the stores (or, of course, online) today, and saying to yourself, “Ugh, I just can’t find anything I’d like to wear.”

You’ll hear about how you should source your inspiration but get discouraged by the LACK of inspiration in current fashion trends.

THAT is what today’s post is all about - going back a little in time to retrieve some Old Hollywood Glamour to ignite a little flair in our wardrobe.

This will be a new series here on my blog and we’ll start with… Neck scarves!

Before you click away, thinking you’ll look ‘primmed up’ wearing one, I’d like to convince you otherwise! There are many down-to-earth ways to wear scarves, too.

First, take a peek at these vintage images and then read on, for a few ways I highly recommend your wearing scarves for a practical, everyday 2022 Look.

Now, if you’re interested in learning how to make this even more applicable to YOUR personal wardrobe, here are a few ways to wear scarves:

  1. Untied under the collar of your coat or blazer (helps keep a wool collar from scratching your neck, too)

2. Loosely tied over a nice blouse in lieu of a necklace

3. Wrapped around your head, while wearing your hair in a bun (great for chores and cooking)

4. Tied around a turtleneck, especially when you need a little splash of color around your face

5. Tied tightly, with a knot to the side, inspired by the French
