Christmas Glory: Dressing for Christmas Mass

Can you believe it? It’s Advent! What a glorious time! Even more glorious will be Christmas Mass, when we celebrate Our Lord’s birth - What. A. Day!

Last year, my husband and I went to our Advent Masses and Christmas Mass at the Abbaye Sainte Madeleine du Barroux… one of my favorite places on Earth (though it almost feels like Heaven when you’re there).  This fabulous video features their wine making and gives you a great taste of the monastery.

During Mass, every detail is attended to, down to a tee, and with utmost reverence. The incense, the bells, the vestments, the way the monks opened the gates to enter into the altar, the way they moved their hands… everything was done for the glory of God - Jesus Is Born!

We were sitting up in the loft section which is neat because you can see all of the monks!

After a very lengthy and late Latin Mass, the monks immediately started saying their private masses for people in the side chapels - talk about perseverance!!

As St. Therese taught us, even the tiniest things can be done out of love for God. Doing things beautifully is of God!

So with all of this greatness to celebrate, we definitely wouldn’t go to Mass in just our normal everyday clothes, right? No way! If you were meeting the Queen of England, what would you wear?

Well, for the King of Heaven and Earth, let’s show HIM how much we care!

Today, in the Advent spirit, I am sharing ALL my links with you ( yes, I still hope you join my style club so I can personally help you select your PERFECT Christmas dress).

As you’re shopping for your Christmas dress, here’s a few things to consider:

1.Which coat and shoe will you be wearing - this will dictate cut, color, length of dress. Boom! So much already narrowed down.

2.Do you already have an LBD? Now might be the perfect time to invest in a Little Black Dress and you can accessorize with color!

3.Don’t forget about winter whites! This can be a very celebratory, liturgical and angelic look.

4.Make it easy on your hubby gifting you and just tell him what jewelry you need to finish off your Look! You’ve made his shopping  easier and you have a gift you actually want, lol!

5.Carry off a classic! Going for a classic line in a dress makes it easy to carry your Look over to other fancy functions - parties, galas, fundraisers, weddings - you can tweak it all with just the right accessorizing.

SO… now the FUN part. Here below are some great links to shop!
