Closet CheckList Spotlight: Boots

“Gosh, I have so enjoyed this and feel like you have helped me sooo much. I feel like you have helped me get my confidence back at a time I really needed it. I also feel like a gained a really cool, fashionable frien (14).png

It’s back! The Closet CheckList spotlight! It’s November and the weather is really getting cold, so it is of course THE perfect time to chat with you about…. BOOTS!!

I thought we could go over 3 boot trends that will help you zero in on the right boot for you. But before I go into that, I want to stress how personal boot choices can get, as both a seasonal style statement and part of your own unique fashion signature.

Since boots tend to be more of an investment piece, it’s likely that you won’t have to own quite so wide a range of choices as you have in flats and wedgies.  BUT… you want to be sure that the boot you choose is not only comfortable and versatile with your wardrobe, but suits your personality too!.

There are a lot of places to shop for boots, so I recommend really perusing all of your options and seeing which ones “kick up” a little attention for you.

And before committing to boots, make sure you take an “inventory” of your closet. Assess what you’ll typically will be wearing to pair with your boots (and where you’d like to be wearing them).

Knee High:

As you saw two weeks ago in the Celine show, you can most definitely wear your knee high boots with longer skirts. Just go for neutral tones in a beautiful leather that will never go out of style.

Western:

Yeehawwww! A personal favorite of mine because it adds that little bit of flair while still having a neutral and classic feel. It adds that special, subtle “pop” that you don’t get at first glance of your outfit.

Shearling:

This is a fun, light-hearted trend for all of you who like to stay cozy and casual. Shearling is an easy way to bring texture to your Look for an extra special touch!

Can’t wait to see which boots will take you walkin’!!
