Runway Inspiration: The Celine Show F/W ‘19
Can you believe it’s already NOVEMBER?! It seems like I was just itching in 95 degree weather to whip out my pumpkin spice candle.
And even though Fall styling can be the favorite of most seasons, that initial thrill to donning our plaid scarves, boots and cozy jackets doesn’t necessarily mean we should lull ourselves into wearing the same thing over and over and over (Not judging, it’s totally fine if you enjoy that!).
However… this can make you buy a lot of clothes you don’t actually need. What you really need is inspiration to wear your pieces in NEW ways. Sometimes the best place to shop first is your own closet.
And to see your own clothes in a new light, we need inspiration….
So, I’d like to chat about the Celine Fall/Winter Show.
It can often be thought that runway shows are irrelevant to the average female physique, however I think you’ll be PLEASANTLY surprised by this show, which was all about modesty, feminine shapes, chic styling, and updates on a classic wardrobe.
Quite honestly, perusing all of the photos from this show got me QUITE excited to rewear classics in my wardrobe in new ways. And I think you will be, too!
Here are 5 takeaways from the Celine Fall/Winter Fashion Show to freshen up your wardrobe going into a new year (and decade!):
1. You can wear classics without looking boring or uninventive. Combine edgier fabrics like leather and sequins if you’re afraid of looking old and boring.
2. Midi skirts don’t mean you’ll look frumpy when pairing it with a winter boot.
3. Don’t rule out styles you think aren’t “in” because adding modern pieces to a look can make something like culottes (seen a few times in the show) chic and stylish.
4. If you’re nervous to be bold, stick to classic prints, colors, textures.
5. Highlight that waistline! Especially with all the volume and layering to keep us warm, go for a high waist or belt it to create shape.

I hope these looks provide just the spice you need to warm up your favorite Fall staples!
