Tights: Yes, They ARE the Perfect Accessory
Tis’ the season! This month, you’re likely getting a bit more jazzed up with your personal style and dressage and tights are a classic December look.
Many of us will whip out our go-to black dress. But what about when then the question arises…
Is it too “black” to wear black tights with the Look?
Other than downshifting to a more neutral, grey tight, I have a simple work-around solution to this seasonal fashion dilemma…
The patterned tight!
It’s a simple and inexpensive addition to your wardrobe, takes up very little space, and it’s easy to shop for (since there’s not really a fit issue).
I love the versatility and timelessness of black, so the patterned tight has really been a hero to my closet. You have my guarantee that a patterned tight will be a fun addition to your wardrobe this December, too.
Here are a few tips about wearing tights in general that I often discuss with Club Members during our video calls and over text.
You can wear black tights with navy as long as your navy is more on the blue side
For ankle boots, generally you want to wear a darker boot
Patterned tights are a great way to mix up a basic dress that you’re getting bored of.
Size up in tights so you can stay warmer and be more comfy. There’s no reason to get your typical size
Wear socks under your tights to keep your piggies a bit more cozy.
Remember to wear a slip if your dress/skirt is a knit fabric - it’s easy for it to stick to your keister when you get up from sitting. (Static cling is not the best look in the church pew!)
Since today’s post is a more feminine - sensitive item to shop, it can be accessed through the Club membership. To learn more about that, click here!
