The Crossbody: Your Travel Go-To
For the past seven years, I’ve had three Kate Spade purses that have been my “go-to” travel purses.

Now, I am not someone who needs to change purses ALL the time. I love efficiency and practicality without sacrificing style. So…
I’m also always ready for an even more slimmed down style. This way, my purse doesn’t have to get shoved into my “personal item” on the plane and take up space!
During this latest trip back to France, I cannot tell you how this one accessory (you may even call ‘purse’) is really taking me by surprise with its convenience and that has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

Now I get it… You have loads of questions about where you will possibly fit everything you need?
If you love to move quickly, love to quickly hop out of the car and be ready to shop, walk, or do whatever you have to … then this is for YOU. (So long as you don’t try to wear/tote along prescription sunglasses AND eyeglasses).
Personally, I found that, when I wanted to take a picture of my meal or grab a quick video at a cute cafe, a crossbody made things fast, available, and just like that… I’m ready to shoot! When I’m going through security and have to show my boarding pass, I’m not frantically searching and digging out my phone!

I became enamored by the crossbody from an Instagram ad (which when I clicked was pretty expensive - as much as a Kate Spade at Nordstrom Rack)!
I did a little searching and took the plunge, ordering one through Amazon. (I know, I know, that too has its drawbacks). But since I was unsure if it’d even work, it seemed like the appropriate choice.
I anticipated chains breaking, or the strap’s gold to lose its luster. BUT… it hasn’t!
So let’s go through my concerns about a crossbody, and how they were met:
What if someone rips the chain off you?
What if your phone swings into something hard as you're bending down?
Is it smart to have your phone just dangling there for all to see?
Where do I put my tissues and chapstick?
And here's my replies
If someone rips it off of me, well then, the least I have to worry about is my phone/wallet. … I’m out alive!!! Everything (except c’est moi) can be replaced.
This is a good point. Just remember to keep your phone’s glass facing towards you.
Every woman has a bag with a phone so it’s really no different.
By now, many brands have realized how ladies love pockets in a dress! If not, just go for the classic tissue-up-the-sleeve : )
