Summer Trend: Reimagining Plaids

Prints in fashion can only seem to work with a level of mastery. Often times in a closet cleanout, it’s the item with prints that is an immediate “donate”. Unless they’re a classic, they can quickly feel outdated.

I recommend when doing a print either:

  1. Go for a classic (stripe, dot, plaid, houndstooth, pinstriped).

  2. Go for a print that when you see it, your insides just leap, as if you were given the most beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The other thing with trends, it’s easy to target certain prints for certain seasons - houndstooth in the fall, polka dot in spring, breton stripe in the summer… etc.

However, let’s not corner ourselves with limited use of these prints!

This summer’s trend is super fun - the Summer Plaid!

We’ve all seen the plaids in deep emeralds and burgundys, but let’s reimagine it for Summer. It’s fun and fresh and something, which just this one piece could really liven up your wardrobe.

Especially if you’re not needing to add much this summer, this could be just one fun piece to add.

So… let’s get shopping!!
