Red Light: A Beauty Hack Not To Be Overlooked
There’s a lot of beauty “hacks” and “secrets” out there… would you agree? And seeing them all you might think, gosh this is overwhelming.
And for most of them I typically pass because in my opinion, a simple, healthy, natural routine without the chaos of jumping on the newest serum, eye cream or whatever is best. And a definite benefit is… you save a LOT of money. Who doesn’t want that?!
However, something has been definitively added to my routine because of an unexpected (yet welcomed!) side effect.
You’ve likely heard some hype about red light therapy. You can go to expensive salons to sit in a booth or buy a mask to use at home.
Well, after extensive research (as extensive I get with that, let me clarify!), I decided to take a stab at it.
I got the red light therapy wand to use for fine lines (doesn’t that sound better than wrinkles 😉). And while I could feel the lines diminishing a bit and the texture of my face improving after about a month of routinely using it, something odd happened. Really, really odd.
I was drying my hair and had noticed 1inch hair strands POPPING out of my hairline! In amazement, I ran around the house to say “LOOK AT THIS HAIR!”. This was typically be where the baby hair grows but this was strong, head hair. It was like I was 5 yrs old again and chopped my bangs off.
My husband even nicknamed me “Spouts”! 😂 A week later at the salon, the stylist thought I SINGED my hair on a curling iron or straightener.
Needless to say, I’m a believer in Red Light to improve face texture and hair growth.
This tool below is the one I’ve been using but there’s tons of other options to try. I like the flexibility of the wand because you can use it different places rather than being pigeon-holed into a face mask. I went into my decision with the goal of it being 620 nanometers for it to really be effective. So, if you choose a different one - you’ll want to check the details of the device to reach that level at least.
And that’s all to say! I won’t recommend other ones in this post because I’d want to be 100% it really works and a brand to be trusted (clothing is more of my area of expertise, of course!). So… I shall see you back next week back to fashion!
