Footwear Choices for Your Holiday Kitchen

Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is in just ONE week?! It feels like it’s practically here already and I’m sure you’re scraping up your favorite seasonal recipes!

Earlier this month, we talked about statement sweaters, (which I think are fabulous options). You can wear a simple pants or a skirt and you’re all set for feeling cozy and stylish (a fabulous combo, right?!).

Then, on Thanksgiving Day, you toss on a cute apron and feel all set with your holiday hostess Look.

BUT… the question arises, what are you going to wear on your FEET?!

I mean, right?!

Guests are arriving so you simply cannot go barefoot in a fabulous Look OR be in your cozy slippers.

I have a fantastic option that I fall back when I am cooking for guests and still dressed to (kind of) impress. They match nearly anything and are that PERFECT balance of not being “too much” in the home yet still looks polished and put together.

What is it, you ask?

It’s the (drum roll, please)... Tory Burch ballet flat!

The Tory Burch ballet flat has been a LIFE saver for me because they give me the support I need on a tile floor for my knees and back. You will be able to slice and dice around the kitchen and still look and feel appropriate among the guests in your house.

I’ve ahung on to my pair for years (and now they’re trending - can you believe it?!). They have lasted REALLY WELL. I use them ALL the time when I am cooking in France, where the floor in the kitchen is very old and very hard, so I really need something with a little support. And (of course), in Provence you’re eating outside so I definitely need something on my feet that can take me in and out to the terrace easily.

It’s a fantastic, quality flat that really is perfect for bopping around the kitchen, yet still jazzes up (but not too much) a festive holiday.

While they are pricier, you can definitely find them on sale - just shop below!

Question: Okay, so on the theme of cooking, what’s your FAVORITE dish to make for Thanksgiving?! Recipes welcome!!
