3 Quick Steps for a Less Stressed Wardrobe

A very MERRY Christmas to you and also… a very Happy New Year!!

With the New Year, many of us (of course) make resolutions. And that could be intimidating to think “oh I gotta keep this up!”.

But can’t there be resolutions where it’s something you finish and it sets your New Year off to a wonderful start? And doesn’t that give you a great mood boost to run into the year thinking you’ve already accomplished one of your New Year’s resolutions???

I certainly think so!!!

So how about today set your style on a good path for 2026. This will ONLY take a few minutes and it will make a big difference. For those that want a little more of a yearly challenge, you can check out the 10 wardrobe resolotuions.

Well, let’s get going then. Right now.

Here are THREE TIPS to help you feel less stressed in 2026 with your wardrobe:

1. Identify the 3 WORST  pieces in your closet: What are the three pieces that fill you with stress, or make you feel like a not-best-version of yourself? Once you’ve selected the trio of offenders, take a moment to think about why they invoked those feelings, then write a note to yourself and save it on your phone. Then put those pieces (yes, even if they were a gift, or expensive, and/or you never wore it) in a “to donate” pile!

2. Pick out your 5 FAVORITES and neatly place them in the most prominent part of your closet: This is a new trick I started over the summer. It makes it so much easier to gravitate to my favorite pieces that might otherwise get lost or muddled in a crush of clothes. Plus, looking at my favorite clothes, hung so nicely (and spaciously), conveniently in front of me, helped hone my aesthetic for my own personal Look.

 3. Ask/text a family member or trusted friend what they think is the BEST outfit they’ve seen on you: It’s easy to get stuck in a bubble of what you think looks good or bad on you. Sometimes it helps to get a  fresh eyes to give you a new perspective on where to go with your wardrobe. Of course you don’t have to follow any direction if you’re not happy or comfortable with it, but it’s a great way to invite fresh perspectives as you weigh in on your closet changes.

I hope these tips work splendidly for you and help you make the most of enjoying your wardrobe! Remember, I’m always here for you, as your personal stylist, through the Membership program!
