Spring Shoes: Toe-Tapping Delights
Is it time for you to Spring into some new shoes?! Weatherwise, we’re kind of in that weird mix of it not being hot enough for full blown out Spring dresses but it’s not cold enough to be bundled up completely in head-to-toe Winter.
Well, an easy way to make that transition put a little more “Spring” into your step is with…… shoes!
Yes, just the simple addition of a light and bright shoe can turn a camel sweater and jeans into a chic, hello-sunshine-the-birds-are-chirping Spring kind of Look! (psssst… do you need help with this transition? Join the Style Club and I’d love to help you!)
I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite shoes this Spring. I like them because of their versatility, the punch they add to a simple Look, plus… comfort!
Here are 5 Spring favorites and how I wear them:
1.Retro Sneakers:
Works best for a day full of errands - a straight wash jean and a white, long sleeve T-shirt. The retro sneaker gives you the comfort of a running shoe without looking ghastly. The retro look is lighthearted, quirky, fun and a blast from the past.
2. Espadrille Wedge: Sunday Mass - it gives you the whisperings that Summer is almost here and a chance to wear that espadrille more than just one season increases value in your closet.
3. Pastel Loafer: Dressed up for a day out - easy with a windowpane pant and camel sweater. A bit elevated from a jeans and T-shirt day but not overly dressy.
4. Block heel clog: Evening out - perfect with an A-line skirt and crewneck sweater. Add a neck scarf for a splash of color, especially if you’re like to be sitting at a dinner table, lift a pop of color up closer to your face.
5. Ballet Flat: A day bopping around town - lovely with a blue jean, pearl earrings and crisp white button down… classic, timeless and always chic as ever.
