“Gosh, I have so enjoyed this and feel like you have helped me sooo much. I feel like you have helped me get my confidence back at a time I really needed it. I also feel like a gained a really cool, fashionable frien (82).png

Let's have a chat about animal prints…. but wait! Before you click away from this blog because you’re someone who thinks they’re too sassy, spicy or zesty just allow me 2 minutes to change your mind (I think you’ll be happy at the end).

I know that animal prints can sound daring for a lot of people. And yes, perhaps that image you have in your mind can get a little… loud! But there are ways to wear animal prints and STILL project the image of a classy, modest and feminine lady.

So are you ready to flex your style muscles and try something new? Here are five ways to make animal prints look chic and elegant without entirely sacrificing a hint of your inner wild child.

  1. Wear it in small touches. Maybe it’s a splash in a shoe, part of a sleeve, a piping detail, or color blocking in your purse.

  2. Wear it with something modest and understated. For instance, go for a cheetah flat rather than a high heel. If you wear a print in a shirt it should be a mock neck or button down style rather than an overly-revealing tank top or V-neck.

  3. Combine it with more understated color choices. Stay away from fire engine red, purple, neon green or any bright or fluorescent colors. Strong prints work best with neutrals and blush tones.

  4. If you feel uncomfortable, balance it out by adding something conservative. For instance, pair your print with a blazer instead of a leather jacket. Go with a white button down instead of a trendy top.

  5. Go with a proven brand and don’t skimp on quality. A higher-end brand is going to make a big difference in projecting a statement of quality and thoughtful design. Just remember to use that best value filter to get it on sale.

Here are a few of my fun options to get you started!

And there you have it! I hope this adds a touch of the wild to your closet without getting too untamed!
