Workouts – and Pants! – That Really Rock

Have you ever worn a tight pair of Spanx® or skinny jeans, then taken them off and thought, “Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh”?

Come on, we’ve all been there. Whether it’s compression socks or tight leggings, we KNOW that feeling when we take them off and just have to let out that sighhhh of relief.

That constricting feeling can be pretty annoying while we’re working out, too.

Last spring, while I was hiking, I noticed how I had to curb my crankiness because my sore, hot legs were cooking like Lil’ Smokies.

The last thing either you or I need while working out is our skin screaming to get out of its tight clothing, right?

Well, the other week, I went hiking in Sedona with my family. My mother handed me a pair of magical pants. They were not too tight. They were not too form-fitting yet still feminine. They were…  classic, flared-leg workout pants.

These pants felt GREAT. It was nice to feel my legs, free flowing, without the restriction of a sausage casing.

These pants are especially great to wear if you have multiple stops on your schedule: working out,  dropping kids off at school, going to daily Mass, shopping at the grocery store although… for Mass I’d recommend a longer sweater or jacket just to “cover the caboose”), you get what I mean!

That’s why I’m just dying to share these styles with you!

This style is also perfect for Pietra Fitness - have you heard of it?If you had to stop doing yoga (whose beliefs are incompatible with Christian teaching), this is your answer. It is one of the most wonderful activities you can do for your body. You can read all about it here! Pietra (which means “rock” in Italian) Fitness integrates physical exercise with Christian prayer.  (and head over to their website for a discount code on styling services, plus other fabulous Christmas shopping!)

These are a few of my suggestions for pants that make working out look great.

So, let's go shopping!!!
