What to wear with a wide or bootcut jean: The Knit Ankle Bootie

Aren’t you loving the variety of jean cuts that are really taking off? Wide cut, flared, bootcut… They’re all coming back. In fact, they ARE back.

These styles are super flattering compared to a skinny jean. Now hold up, just STOP! I’m not recommending you throw those away either! PLEASE keep them for tall boots!

Now, back to all these other varieties and a SUPER popular style question that Club members (just like YOU) text me about… What style of shoe do I wear with these?

When we get to a more roomy, wide-legged jean, it’s hard to imagine wearing a boot with it.

“Will it look too clunky?”

“Is the jean the right length?”

“Do I tuck it in or out?”

“Will the outfit be too heavy bottomed?”

These are all excellent questions. And I have ONE (just one!) ANKLE BOOT that will honestly fit all these jean types. This is a boot that will even fit a cropped wide leg.

This unicorn of a boot is… The Knit Ankle Bootie!

What makes this footwear so amazing? What doesn’t? Let’s begin:

1.The knit fabric makes it SUPER comfortable as it molds to your foot (great if you need/want a wider toe base or have a bunion issue).

2.The break-in time to get them comfortable is minimal. Since it’s not leather, you shouldn’t have to worry about the new leather giving you blisters - woohoo!

3.They work with all these jean types: straight, wide leg, cropped wide leg, flared, and bootcut.

4.The booties look really elegant with midi and maxi dresses (as a “clunkier” leather ankle boot can sometimes make your bottom half look  heavy and masculine).

5.They also weigh less, which makes them an amazing Fall/Winter travel boot.

So let’s get to the fun part… shopping!!!
