Ready to Bloom? Floral Dresses & YOU

A very Happy Easter to you!!

Don’t Spring – and Easter – just bring a fresh rejuvenation?! You can’t smell all those the florals in the air and not let that affect your wardrobe, right?!

With the new blooms and warm sun, I thought it’d be a perfect time to chat about… floral dresses!

Many of my Club members are getting ready for high school or college graduations, or a First Communion. So it’s nice to have that Spring/Summer “special occasion dress,” and one absolutely perfect option is… the floral dress.

Who doesn’t love receiving a bouquet of fresh flowers? Who wouldn’t love to see a lady in radiant bloom, thanks to the flowers on her dress? How appropriate that can be for a special occasion!

If you’re unfamiliar with, or not yet jiving to, the idea of a floral dress, I have a few tips to ease you in and help it feel more approachable.

Here we go:

  1. Try wearing a cardigan tossed over your shoulders. This will break up the print and add a different layer so that the floral print doesn’t seem too overwhelming on you.

  2. You can always toss on a denim jacket. Especially if you’re one to like a more bohemian or down-to-earth look, this will definitely feel more ‘you’.

  3. If you’re new to florals, opt for a smaller floral. A big floral print might be too overwhelming (especially if you’re smaller framed).

  4. Stick to a skin-toned shoe. You don’t want your Look too busy. Keep it simple and natural.

  5. Don’t overstyle with makeup, hair, and accessories. The more natural look is best with a floral dress so as to not feel like you’re overly done-up for the Queen’s tea.

And now, the fun part! Here are a few dresses to shop, also featuring a fabulous designer, Virginia Dare Dress Co.
