Ready, Set, Cyber Monday!

A very Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you! Isn’t it such a glorious season, specifically since it’s such a uniquely American tradition and celebration!

The day after Thanksgiving has become known as Black Friday, when people dash around their favorite stores, snagging up some amazing sales. But frankly, I’m not much of an in-store shopper. I have found that there just isn’t the same extensive selection and inventory that you can find online. Plus it saves my allergies from all those sample colognes and perfumes (if you know what I mean, you know what I mean)!

I have learned however, thanks especially to my  Club members, that some people really do prefer an in-store experience. So you really have to do what works for you!

Just this past week, there have been some really fantastic brands ALREADY beginning their Cyber Monday and Black Friday sales. I’ve been gathering some links for Club Members and let me tell you… WOW, there are some really amazing deals – not just on clothes you’ll wear twice – but GOOD BASICS that you can use over and over again.

Pieces that I rarely see go on sale, because these are brands  people will buy anyway, are now on sale!

However, online shopping can be overwhelming and because you’re not in the store, you might end up buying things you don’t need… and not buying the things you DO.

So here’s my recommendation:

  1. Make a list of the pieces that you can remember saying, while getting dressed, “If I only had *insert piece*, this outfit would come together.”

  2. Go through your basics. Your cotton tees, jeans, mass dresses, jackets, socks, flats, undergarments, sweaters… Do any of these need a little freshening up?

  3. Write down what you DID like and wanted to buy if only it wasn’t just a smidge too pricey. You’ll want to check back on this item.

  4. Subscribe to their email list! Some stores will have extra “perks” if you belong to their email list, so subscribe ASAP.

  5. Finally, today or Saturday, peruse the stores (see list below) and add items to your cart. This way, you can buy a little time to think about it and then on Monday, all you have to do is review how much it was discounted and check out!

Here’s a list of stores I’d peruse for some excellent savings:

Boden

J Crew Factory

Banana Republic Factory

Nordstrom

Nordstrom Rack (use this filter!)

Macy’s (use the brand filters for this one!)

Anthropologie

And of course, if there’s a great piece that may go out of inventory, snag it while it’s there! It’s up to you if you want to play the waiting game for more savings - high risk, high reward!

And here are some great pieces to add to your Cyber Monday cart!

How cute is this Tuckernuck dress?!!

Clients LOVE the quality of Boden tees!

Corduroy is back, baby! (make sure you join Anthro’s email to get the perks!)

Some of my FAVORITE pants for years in my closet have been the BR Factory ones. Highly recommend the printed pant!

Et voila! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Also, heads up in the next few days because I’ll be offering a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal on the Club Membership. So, if you’ve been waiting for the right time to procure the resources of a Personal Stylist, well… it’s just around the corner. Stay tuned!! ❤️
