Air conditioning. Sounds pretty boring, right? But have you ever noticed what a ‘hot’ topic it is? It seems that a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with AC.

For those of us living in the southern part of the United States, AC can really blast frigid air on a hot summer day. 

We’ve all been there. We dress for a summer day when it’s blazing hot OUTside but then…the moment you step IN to a grocery store or office - it’s SO freezing cold!!

It feels over-the-top to wear a jacket and you don’t want to always carry it around with you.

Well, my favorite remedy to this problem is a lovely silk neck scarf.

Well, did you know that 40-45% of our body heat is lost through our head and neck? That’s right!

So choose a fashionable neck scarf. You’re not only looking chic-as-can-be… but you are ALSO warding off those icy goosebumps from the AC.

During the summer I keep a neck scarf tied to my purse. It not only jazzes up my neutral purse, but guarantees I have a fashionable option always ready and there for me when I need it.

My Style Club clients often talk with me about neck scarves and I’d like to share a few of the tips that I’ve given these ladies.

1. Don’t try to make it “perfect.” Rather than getting frustrated with looking “just right,” you are being your own worst critic. Relax! I can guarantee you it looks good! Wear it with confidence!

2. Take just 10 minutes out of your day to practice the knot that works best for you. Speakng for myself, I find that the quicker and more organically I can tie it, the better.

3. Focus on colors that look great against your face tone and will match summer outfits you regularly like to wear.

4. There’s no rule book to the “right way.” Just wear your neck scarf in stride and trust me, it will work! (Yes, I said this earlier, but it’s worth repeating!)
