Back to Basics: 7 Easy Pieces

Believe it or not, we are nearly into Fall - it officially begins in under a month!! Now I know those in the northern states are likely clutching to the warmth, but those of us in the warmer states are ready for a bit of relief!

Either way, Fall is coming. So what should we be doing with our closets?

Well, for some reason - that I can’t completely pinpoint - manyyyyy people feel an exciting rush from doing a nice refresh to their style when Fall hits.

As I’m working with my Club Members, it’s apparent that good basics are everything leading into a fresh new season. Because we all know that once Fall comes, we can rely on our fun jackets, hats and boots to compensate for anything that may be “lacking” in our wardrobe but…

BUT…..

Wouldn’t it be ever so perfect if we didn’t have to rely so completely on those oh-so-marvelous Autumnal pieces and - instead - could feel just as confident about the basics that we have to work with?

So (I think) as fun as Fall shopping can be at the end of August/early September, it’s really the perfect time to think about getting back to the basics.

Here are seven items that I recommend focusing on as great building blocks for your next nine style-setting months ahead.

Let’s go!

  1. Good cotton tees (short-sleeved or long-sleeved, depending on your climate)

  2. An easy pant (comfortable enough to wear every day)

  3. A go-to jean that never feels uncomfy

  4. A super simple dress to pop on and go

  5. An easy layering jacket that adds without taking away

  6. A comfy shoe that’s stylish and versatile, with a signature ‘You’ feel

  7. A polished purse or phone case crossbody that works with your Look

And here are some fun ideas to kick off your back to basics shopping!

Question: What would YOU add to these Fall building blocks?!
