Wiggle-Your-Toes Worthy Advice About Sandals
If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll have learned that I haven’t been the biggest fan of sandals. Just my personal thing, not that I think they shouldn’t be worn.
However, what I’ve come to realize is…. that it’s okay to change our minds even if we have been vehemently opposed to it in the past. In other words, begone ye darned stubbornness!!.
Because sometimes you just have to see something in a new light to see it done differently. Different folks, different strokes, right?!
So, when I saw these new top trends in summer sandals… Okay, I confess, I got REALLY excited.
Here are my TOP sandal trends for this summer:
Ankle Wraps
The great thing about the wrap around the ankle, is that you can have a relatively simple outfit and this acts as the ‘jewelry’. It’s a great travel sandal because not only does it take up so little space, they’re also super malleable to your foot so they offer plenty of comfort! Plus the wrap delivers more punch to your Look so you can keep your outfit very sleek, chic and basic (which is super great for travel).

Platform
I never thought that -- after my ‘90s childhood -- that I’d be back to wearing these! However, these can be really well done in modern designs with beautiful textures. Think of the sole-platform as more of an art piece (unlike those rubber blocks from the 90s… if you know… you know!). You can also do a platform in an esparto rope and get “the espadrille vibe” without wearing wedges!
