When was the last time, you slipped on a new pair of heels you bought… AND THEY DIDN’T FIT?!!

GyahhhhH!!!!!

It makes absolutely no sense. They fit at the store… but now… at home… it’s a squeeze. It is 100% frustrating. RIGHT?!

For me, I’d often slip on that new pair of heels for morning mass the following Sunday. They’d fit great!

But then...

A week later, I slip on the SAME shoes on in the evening….

Annnnnnnnnnd…

The back of the shoe is JABBING my heel and my tootsies are CRUNCHED. Those little piggies are fighting to survive!! And by the end of the evening, the pain was so much that I wanted to collapse.

Well… until recently…. I’ve had a ‘revelation’.

What if I told you this wouldn’t happen again? I’m going to RIGHT now.

Here are FOUR tips to make sure your shoes ALWays fit:

1.  BUY your shoes in the evening. Did you know that your foot swells considerably after a day’s work of walking around and standing? If you don’t like to shop in the evening, then just be sure to try on your shoes at home in the evening and walk around a bit. Your heels and toes will thank you!

2.  Don’t buy expensive shoes when you’re up/down a couple pounds on the scale. Did you know for some people, your hands and feet can be the first places to lose and gain weight?! This isn’t to say never buy shoes when you’re not at your typical weight (that will just add unnecessary stress), but just don’t give into the Frye boots or Tory Burch heels at that time.

3.  What’s the weather like? Is it unusually hot or unusually cold? This will affect the size of your foot! Don’t convince yourself you can buy that tight shoe, especially on an unusually cold day after you’ve been sick and down a couple pounds. I can guarantee you it won’t fit when summer comes!

4.  Have you been giving into those salty cravings? For me, after a night of popcorn (or other salty delicacies), my face and limbs turn into a blowfish. That’s because salt retains water. The morning after is NOT the time to buy that investment pair of black heels. So watch out what you eat the day before you go shopping.

I hope these help and lessen the number of band-aids you use.

And since we’re discussing shoes…. Time to shop! Here are some AH-MAZING pairs for you to shop. The following shoes are phenomenal because they pair SO well with a simple outfit. They instantly turn a simple jean + blouse or LBD into a chic Look.

PS. I’m a size 8 and my birthday is in a month : )

ummmm HELLO! Imagine these Renvy block heels with just jeans and a Tee.... How easy is that?!

Doesn't the bow on these Ava & Aiden heels add the perfect feminine pop to a classic dress?!

HALF OFF Frye boots! This is unheard of! A definite winter necessity. Perfect with tights and a dress or with a simple denim jean.

If you don't like to wear jewelry, adding a metallic sheen in your shoes is a FUN way to get that texture & polish in your Look. These Vince mules will do just that (and super comfy!).

Your wardrobe isn't complete without a chic Loafer! These Schutz loafers go with SO much. Easily dressed up OR down. The metal tassel adds that subtle detail without being "over-the-top".

These Karl Lagerfeld Paris sneakers are PERFECT for bopping around town. They're super cute with a dress/skirt, and also easy with jeans. The metallic sheen gives your Look that special little pop.
